I haven't always been as dedicated to the journey of health as I am now - I used to have microwaved popcorn for dinner and pretend to faint to get out of gym class when I was a kid. I found out the hard way that those behaviours didn't help me feel good - in fact, after a few years of that, I started to feel downright bad. It's my chosen path to help you get in touch with yourself with grace and ease, instead of through pain and disease.
After my "unofficial" start into the industry at the age of 18 (coaching national and international youth biathletes and target rifle shooters) I began work in the health and fitness industry in 1999, while completing my B.Sc in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. Upon graduation, I became certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and began personal training. I later became certified as a Kinesiologist and an Exercise Physiologist. I have worked in many big gyms, a few smaller gyms, and realized after a few years that it was time to change things for myself and for my clients.
In December of 2008 started my own personal training and consulting business, and I've been loving it ever since! In home, outdoor, or in the gym, there's a time and a place in my schedule that's right for you.
A Certified Kinesiologist by definition is an expert in the field of human movement - not just HOW your body moves, but also WHY and WHY NOT. Kinesiologists work in a variety of settings, from hospitals, physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics to gyms and private practices. Though Kinesiology is often thought of just as a 'muscles and bones' discipline, human movement is affected by many different stimuli, such as your dietary habits, environment, even your thoughts and emotions! It is this holistic approach that sets Jessica apart from your typical fitness professional.

The NSCA CSCS credential is one of the highest sports and conditioning certifications in the world. Look through the coaching and conditioning staff on your favourite professional sports team, and you are sure to see the letters "CSCS" after many names. Though this certification and the knowledge needed to obtain it is geared more towards athletic training and sports conditioning, most exercises and training principles can be transferred to the general population to create exciting and challenging workouts.

Usui Reiki Level II Practitioner
Reiki is an energy treatment that involves having the client relax, either laying down or in a chair. The practitioner uses a laying on of hands technique to bring the universal energies into balance within the client's body.
It is a very relaxing treatment, allowing one to simply experience the movement of energy in a passive manner.
Most sessions end with a bit of Reiki for healing and rejuvenating after the treatment, but can be enjoyed as a stand-alone treatment as well.
